Operating Expenditures 2026

There are two parts to the operating expenditures 2026 proposal:

Part 1: 2026 Full Time & Part Time Contributor Guidelines

  • Approving the full time and part time budget guidelines for 2026

    • Transferring 2026 full time & part time contributor compensation & 2nd half 2025 token rewards from the treasury and the subdao to the dev multisig

Full Time & Part Time Contributor Guidelines 2026

Full Time Contributors

The full-time contributors currently consists of:

One full time dev Two full time biz One full time governance One full time brand

We do not intend to hire more full-time contributors in 2026.

Rewards

Base Salary: $50,000 - $175,000 USDC per year

Tokens: 15,000 - 50,000 CTX (Vests over 2 years, 6 month cliff, then bi-annually for 1.5 years)

Rewards for contributors that began vesting in 2025 and are eligible for them to claim for the 2nd half of 2025 need to be transferred from Treasury: 34,000 CTX in total. You can view the vesting schedule and amounts here: Full Time Token Allocation - Google Sheets

  • Dev 1: 12,500 CTX

  • Governance 1: 3,000 CTX

  • Brand 1: 6,000 CTX

  • Advisor 1: 12,500 CTX

Part Time Contributors

The tasks will come directly from the full-time contributors. This will help contributors have clarity on exactly what they will earn for their efforts, and the DAO will receive exactly what they need in terms of contributions.

The main goal for 2026 is help with front end / full stack development.

Rewards

Up to 6,000 USDC per month.

Funding

Funding for full time and part time contributors will come directly from revenues generated by the protocol, loans exercised by market makers, subdao capital, airdrops or by CTX tokens. We will transfer from the treasury and the subdao to allocate to expenditures for Q1+April of Q2 2025.

Part 2: 2025 Expenditures Brand and Biz Budget

  • Approving the Budget Amount & Allocation for Brand and Biz

    • Transfer funds from the treasury and the subdao to the multisig

Marketing

For 2026, we intend to be focused on allocating this capital for a successful launch of the institutional index launch, continued activity on our education and awareness of decentralized technology for the United States Government and travel associated to support these activities.

Maximum budget for brand: 425,000 USDC for 2026

Monthly Subscriptions

Contributors of the DAO are using tools (Like Notion, Typeform, Discord Bots, Calendly, and Docusign) to better create and collaborate.

Maximum budget for monthly subscriptions: 6,000 USDC for 2025

Maximum 2026 Brand Budget: 431,000 USDC

Biz Budget 2026

Budget Breakdown

Institutional Index Creation: 157,000 USDC

For 2026, we intend to allocate this capital for the remaining amount needed to create the institutional index. 250,000 usdc was already invested in Q4 2025 to kick off the creation of the institutional index.

Legal: 30,000 USDC

Areas include advising on blockchain law, performing legal analysis, and future Cryptex DAO decentralized solutions, alongside representing the DAO on an as-needed basis.

Accounting: 87,000 USDC

Continuing our relationship with Certified Public Accountants with expertise specifically relevant to blockchain to handle all tax matters related to the DAO and its core team.

Dev: 140,000 USDC

Upgrades to governance processes and protocol. AWS fees, transaction fees, audits and any other operating expenses related to dev

Health Insurance: 40,000 USDC

Health coverage for founding full time contributors.

Maximum 2026 Operations Budget: 454,000 USDC

Funding for Brand and Biz Expenditures

Funding will come directly from revenues generated by the protocol, loans exercised by market makers, subdao capital, airdrops or by CTX tokens. We will transfer from the treasury and the subdao to allocate to expenditures for Q1+April of Q2 2025.

Summary of Funding & Transfers for Operating Expenditures 2026 (Q1+April of Q2)

  • Transfer a total of 534,000 CTX from the treasury and 200,000 USDC from the subdao

    • To cover full time and part time contributor compensation for Q1+April Q2 2026

    • To cover brand and biz expenditures for Q1+April Q2 2026

    • For full time contributor token rewards for 2nd Half 2025

I’ve said in the past that the previous budget I voted FOR would be the last time I’d vote in favor, but I’ve changed my mind after seeing the work that’s been done with Cryptex40. So I will vote FOR. This is probably our last real chance to find PMF and start generating revenue.

I hope the core team finally gets to see the fruits of all their hard work and ships something massively successful that attracts real capital, lets us expand the DAO, fund way more initiatives, and means we never have to worry about running out of runway again.

The proposal is pretty much straightforward, and the funding request is fair.

Quick question though, is there a doc or report where we can review how the 2025 budget was utilized? That would be very helpful in analyzing this.
