# S&p broad digital market

S&p just launched the broad digital market (BDM) with 240 of the largest cryptocurrencies.

How is that going to affect TCAP?

TCAP is decentralized and living on chain, not controlled by a central entity. It’s up to people to decide if they want to live in the future or in the past. I’m with TCAP.

Looks like BDM rebalances every 3 months, while TCAP is calculated in real time. Also BDM is not compostable in DeFi, while TCAP is.

Although they seem similar, they are very different solutions for different types of users.

BDM is for ‘the masses’ for lack of better word. I think that it’s good for crypto that everyone gets access.

I didn’t know it was recalculated every quarter.
